중위투표모형에 의한 19대 대선 평가
중위투표모형에 의하면 선거 정국에 있어 각 정당은 자신의 기존 노선과 관계없이 중도적인 선거공 약을 제시함에 따라 각 정당의 선거공약은 큰 차이가 없게 된다. 본 논문은 우리나라 19대 대통령 선거 결과를 중위투표모형에 의해 평가하고자 한다. 이를 위해 먼저, 국민의당 안철수 후보와 자유한국당 홍 준표 후보의 실패 요인과 향후 과제를 살펴보고, 다음으로 문재인 정부의 감성정치와 포퓰리즘에 대해 검토해 보고자 한다.
The 19th Presidential Election Evaluation in Korea in terms of Median Voter Model
This paper attempts to evaluate the 19th Presidential Election in Korea in terms of ‘median voter model’ which is very interested in public choice theory. Our aim is two folds. First, we analyse the failure factor of the two major political parties in the presidential election, and then suggest their future reform directions. Finally, we discuss the political sentiment and populism of the ruling government.
